By Patricia Jackson

In a wedding, the most important detail for your guests is the music. According to a survey that was conducted by Wedding Wire, 95 percent of the people say that the music that is played at the reception determines how fun is it going to be. For all of you couples out there who are considering of hiring Bay Area bands for your special day, it is important that you hire a band that can make your guests stand up and enjoy the party.

There are a great number of bands out there, but the questions is, how will you find and book one. First, think about where would you want to use them for, to sing when you walk down the aisle, or to perform on the reception afterwards. Here are tips on how you can pick among the bands out there.

Ask for recommendations. Asking for recommendations is known as the easiest approach to finding the best references. Talk to everyone, your relatives, friends, neighbors, and coworkers and ask them for recommendations, they might know a good one that they can recommend to you.

When you decide to use the internet as your source of information, be cautious. The internet world is not safe as what you think. You may find a certain band there which seems to be legit but it ended up to not exist at all. It was just there to make money out of vulnerable individuals. You would not want to end up with using stereo music in the end just because the one you contacted did not arrive.

Make inquiries. Before meeting the band in person for an interview, prepare your list of questions. Some of the questions you should ask are, the list of songs that they usually play, their playlists, will they give you the opportunity to select songs, the number of people on the group, instruments played, etc.

Go to a grandstand. You might have the chance to hear them in advance through going to exhibits, so check if the band you are interested in hiring will be performing there. This is the most ideal approach to decide whether their sound is ideal for your wedding. Focus additionally to the changes between melodies.

Review the contract first before signing. The contract contains the fees, the date, time, and venue of the wedding, etc. Read it carefully. See what the terms and agreement is in case you cancel the service, like how much the deposit is, and if it is for free cancellation, and until when. Expect to pay the air fair when the band will have to fly to attend the wedding.

Know their genre. Every band has his or her music genre, pop, rock, country, etc. Think about what you would like to achieve and feel during the event. Ask them what genre do they play, and if it is more than one. Those who can play different genres is your best pick, with them you can just let them sing any kind of song you want.

Read reviews about them. Nothing beats reading through reviews. Of course, when you interview them, they will only be telling you about the things that they want you to know. The reviews posted by their previous clients will tell you how good that band is, and if choosing them over the others is a good choice to make.
