Learning to Play Piano is all about the approach you have towards the process.

To make it, you need to have a step by step process of learning. Start by getting familiar with the music notes. Always stay positive and do not assume they cannot be learned. Just as you learned from A to Z, then they can be learned too. They are eight, which makes it even simple. They are denoted A B C D E F G according to pitches and tunes they produce when played.

You also need to be comfortable with the baby grand keys. You need to learn their uses since they are not all the same. They are differentiated by color, and you will realize there are white and black keys on your musical instrument. The use of black keys is primarily to play the flat and sharp notes. They have been arranged in groups of threes and twos on your keyboard.

At this point, you need to be aware how your baby grand is arranged. It is uniquely planned from the middle and extends uniformly to either left or right. The middle set of blacks has a significant importance. At the midst, the group of two blacks, the white key on your left is denoted middle C. With these unique arrangements, all white keys at such a corresponding location are all denoted C.

After doing the identification, we need to get into serious business now. This is the stage of learning how to hit the sol-fa notes. They are eight in number and represent the different notes that are represented in music. It is imperative to learn how to transfer the skill to a more practical sense and make it more interesting. You will be more accustomed to hitting the ivories.

You are at a great stage now after learning the basics of your baby grand. You need to move a bit higher and acquire a technical skill. It is imperative now to practice on the simple songs that are easy to cope with. Jingle Bells, for instance, has an easy format that you can learn and play with ease. Next, you will a skill that will enable you to play a bit complex songs.

Knowing the skills of timing and the length a note should be played is very important. You must know that there are three main notes that are commonly used when playing music. However, they are not limited to three. Other notations exist. Learn the length to give a notation and the timing to play the next note.

The initial measures of music normally have three E notes. It is essential you learn to hit them. They are usually quarter notes that are two and one-half note. You need to practice hitting them to the point that you can play them in sequence. Keep repeating the above steps and master how each step goes. Keep practicing and involve both your hands until you can comfortably hit any song.
