Tell them to wear something they are used to and can feel free when they see their image.

When you start shooting make you client to believe that you know your work. Also, teach her new poses by showing her examples to make her feel that you are not saying things you cannot do. This will not only enhance trust, but it will also make her feel good and relaxed since you are showing doing the same things she is doing.

As you can see, it is critical you as a cameraman to be knowledgeable so that you can guide your clients especially when it is their first time. Also, even if they are used to it but they have never done it with you should be smart enough to play your part. Considering the information above is helpful in the sessions and at the long run.
