Investing On Bridal Photography

By Alexxa Rufus

I was chatting to a couple lately and they're what I would call "natural lovers." They just know how to love spontaneously. They tease and laugh and joke and talk effortlessly like they can go on doing it forever. It had been inspiring. There was a real approval on my part for their certitude to tie the knot soon.

But both of them come from humble backgrounds and both have the childlike optimism to make it on their own. Amazing. Even in a very shoe string budget, I side with them that the bride deserves a good bridal photography, since it is her rite of passing from singleness to a union that will stand through time and forever.

This came from them, actually. When a lot of people are persuading them to reserve hiring an experienced photographer for the wedding day itself and just leave the bridal photography to associates and volunteers, they could not be persuaded. The beautiful couple said, they may not have an elaborate reception, but they surely wish to put money into the photos, including bridal photography.

I couldn't think badly of them. I'd have decided the same way. Bridal photography is a tender manifestation of the life a maiden lays before the hands of her chosen partner and companion. Beauty has to be discovered not just from the outside but more notably from the bride's heart. Again, no elaboration, no costumes, no heavy make up is required. In my approach to bridal photography, all I ever call for is really a bride who has in her heart the confidence, the understanding, and the unchanging way towards marrying that one man.

So, a white picket fence, one or two green grass on the foreground, a pink t-shirt, as well as the incessant and gentle breeze of cool morning air brushing against her cheek-- that was all I considered necessary for a heaven-inspired bridal photography in a shoe string.
