How To Listen To Free Smooth Jazz Music Online

By Linda Ruiz

While there are charges for premium Satellite radio stations, there are also free trials. When possible, events which broadcast live are often a good time for taking advantage of one of these offers. To Listen to Free Smooth Jazz Music Online, a station like Live 365 or the Internet Archive, are good places to do so.

The Internet Archive is also a great place for free web based entertainment. There are archives of both recordings and live music by those who have agreed to house material in the archive. The database contains thousands upon thousands of live music shows which are available to stream, download or both. The site also offers access to a number of classic clips, t. V episodes, movies and videos.

Whether desiring to simply listen to music or watch videos, sites like YouTube can often provide both audio and video formats. While fairly easy to upload video content, both YouTube and the Internet Archive have strict restrictions about that which can and can not be uploaded.

With over 129 channels dedicated to Smooth Jazz, there is often something for everyone at some point during the day. Like radio in the early days, internet radio stations often have DJs and a playlist. Though, there are also a number of independent home based radio stations and DJs operating on this and other stations.

Some of the different styles available on these stations include soft jazz, capital jazz, fuse, cruise and others. One, while jazz oriented, plays music from many different genres. With the popularity of hip-hop, most often those DJing today are going to be playing an even wider variety of music.

Live 365 remains basic while offering listeners the ability to listen to live and recorded music. There is an area for storing Favorites, a Help section, a list of genres and information on becoming a premium member. Premium members often pay a nominal fee in exchange for the elimination of sponsored advertisements. Those who don't mind listening to and viewing ads can often get by with the free version.

As with many things, online radio is now available as an App for smart phones and i-Pads. Called the Live 365 App, it is available in the Google store and through many other vendors. While listening to music is a great way to pass the time, it is also important to stay safe while doing so in public.

Radio, internet or traditional, can provide a great deal of entertainment. While it is often fun to play music which one loves on a CD player or instrument, it can also be fun to just go with the flow of what DJs play. Radio, unlike life is something that provides this opportunity, sadly, an opportunity many fail to realize.
