Appreciating Life

By Eagle Ruth

This tiny blue globe that we live in is unique to this galaxy, well, at least we believe so, because as far as we know, the earth is the only living planet in this solar system. But, before this turns into a heated discussion about alien life forms, intergalactic monsters, robots from outer space, and what not, let's just harmonize on the fact that for now, the Earth is really the only living planet that we know of.

The fact that the Earth is the only living planet in our galaxy is a wonder in itself. Have you ever considered the reason why of all the spheres of gas and rock in the countless galaxies, this little planet that we call home was chosen to have life in it? Perhaps it's destiny, maybe it's just the result of a string of unrelated events, or maybe there is a higher power that made it all real, the important thing is that we are here and we are alive because of the perfect conditions that our planet has provided us.

Now I don't know about you, but I believe that this gift of life calls for a daily celebration. We should learn to appreciate the fact that we are here and we are experiencing all the wonderful presents of our existence, learning new things every single day, sharing experiences with our family and friends, and gathering invaluable memories as we move throughout our lives. And what better means to preserve memories than beautiful photographs of the most exceptional times in a person's journey through her or his life.

Maternity photography and baby photography are the categories of photography that have been gaining a great deal popularity over the years, and this trend will continue for the next couple of years because of ever increasing demands. This is because the start of life itself is one of the most precious moments in one's life, from the time of pregnancy, to the first few weeks and years of an infant, these are the memories that people want to capture by means of beautiful pictures.

And although your pregnant wife will most likely tell you that she feels and looks like a cow, a hippo, or any other bulky animal on the planet, there is definitely an aspect of plain beauty and tranquility that can only be seen in a pregnant lady. This is what maternity photography tries to capture and preserve for all eternity.

Once you fully comit to a maternity photography session, don't be afraid to experiment and try various poses, since one of them might produce the most eye-catching photo.
